The third step of two handed backhand progresions
is to start from the ready position, pivot, turn your shoulders and get your rocket back.
so that you end up in the rocket back position, the position we have started from in the previous video. Video n.2
So here I am in the ready position and I pivot it with my outside foot,
turn my shoulders sideways, thats how the rocket starts to come back,
and then the rocket just comes straight back
So now I am in the rocket back position, with the rocket at the back fence and my body sideways.
and if we go back to the ready position and watch this motion again,
you notice that I got no loop right now. What I am trying to do is to make sure I can transition
from the ready position to the rocket back position immediately with no thrills.
and then from this position, I am going to use the same mechanics we have been working on
to swing, hit and then follow through.
So the key is to make sure that you pivot it, turn your shoulders and take your rocket straight back, no loop
and then you use the same mechanics we have been working on in the previous videos.
Now its time to hit some tennis balls, starting in the ready position.
From the ready position I am gonna pivot it with my outside foot, turn my shoulders and take the rocket straight back.
again we havent added the loop yet.
You just need to transition from the ready position to the rocket back position,
which was the position we started in,in the previous video.
So watching it again: pivot with my outside foot, turn the shoulders, rocket comes straight back
and from here I use the same mechanics to
swing , hit and then follow through.
again I rotate my body back towards the net, I swing arms and tennis around, I extend out in to the courth
and I freeze in to the follow through.
So I can really work on extending through the tennis ball.
From the back angle,
what you gonna notice and I wanna emphasises this,
when you pivot it, turn the shoulders and the rocket comes back, it comes straight back.
No loop right now you just wanna make sure you go from ready position to the rocket back position.
and then swing, get the heel up and that transfers your weight in to the courth,
hit and then again follow through extending out in front of your body.
You can see I am not trying to hit the tennis ball hard at this junction,
I am just really try to work the technique.
