The fifth and final two handed backhand progresion is to start in the ready position, pivot it, turn your shoulders, and get the rocket back in to the top of the loop, again maybe 45decrees up and then you use the same mechanics to hit the tennis ball.
So its a entire two handed backhand motion.
And this what the shadowing of that motion looks like.
Again I pivot it with my outside foot, transfer the weight to that foot, turn my shoulders, rocket comes back And if we watch that again.
If we freeze it right now, now I am in the same position I was in, in the previous video, video n.4.
Where I was at the top of the loop.
So if we watch me shadow the entire motion, you can see that I have now added a loop In to my two handed backhand and the rest of the mechanics again are exactly the same.
rotate my body, transfer my weight, swing and I am still freezing in to my follow through insuring that I have full extension.
Now its time to start in the ready position and add the loop in to the motion we have been working on up to this point.
I am gonna pivot it, turn my shoulders, and when I get the rocket back now I am in position we have been working on in the previous video where the rocket is angled up I am gonna drop the rocket down, swing forward, hit and then freeze in my follow through.
If we watch couple of these, because I am pivoting, turning my shoulders, geting my rocket angled up and then droping it down, now I have got a loop in my back.
So I have got a little bit of loop in there.
From the back perspective What you gonna see is that I am still not trying to hit the tennis ball very hard I am just making sure that I have got all the mechanics going.
And making sure that I am still freezing in to my follow through.
I wanna make sure that this is automatic I am not gonna miss any of these, because I really try to work the technique.
Now once you are able to hit from the service line like that then you can move back to the base line and try to hit some tennis balls from back there and you gonna be able to hit a little bit harder, but still you wanna make sure that all the elements are there and that you freezing when the rocket is extended out a front of your body, you dont wanna bring it over your shoulder yet, you wanna make sure that you can hit and freeze, because that insures that you still extending out properly.
Thats what this looks like when the machanics looks the same, here as they did when I was up at the service line, I am just doing things a little bit quicker, hitting the ball a little bit harder so I can get over the net and get it deep.
From the back perspective Now its evident I am trying to hit the ball, try to get it past the service line, ideally and I am freezing in to my follow through and I have got all the mechanics there still working.
Once you can do this and once this is automatic then you can start raping the rocket over your shoulder and make it a little bit easier to decelerate the tennis rocket and allow you to swing a little bit harder And thats what this looks like, rocket is coming over my shoulder now, but everything else looks the same as it did when I was hitting and freezing in to my follow through. The only thing that is different is that I extended my follow through a little bit by bringing it over the shoulder Its a little bit longer now and again thats gonna give me more time to slow the rocket down smoothly and make the follow through a little more comfortable.
