One Handed Backhand Progressions Step 4 Add L

The fourth step of one handed backhand progression is
to start adding a loop to the motion we have been working on
Previously we didn’t have a loop, we just wanted to make sure that you pivot it, turn your shoulders, get the rocket back and swing.
The most modern one handed backhands have a little bit of loop in there
So the way to start adding a loop,
its to get yourself into the position we started in, in the second step.
You got the rocket pointed straight back,
both hands on the rocket,
from here, point the rocket up a little bit.
now when you do that, relationship between the rocket and your hitting arm shouldn’t change,you wanna keep that the same.
From here, what’s gonna happened, the rocket will just drop down to the previous position.
Drop it down and swing forward, use the same mechanist we have been working on.
Lets see exactly how that looks like.
I got the rocket angled up a little bit,
Again the relationship between the rocket and my arm stays the same.
And that structure drops down, and then I swing forward and follow trough.
And if we watch me shadow this motion couple of times
Mechanist aren’t any different from the stuff what we have been working on in the previous videos.
Now I am gonna hit some tennis balls from the top of my loop.
I am in the rocket back position, my body is sideways, and my rocket is back,
but I angle it up a little bit, maybe 45 decrees something like that.
And to hit I start simply droping the rocket down
and now, if we freeze it, I am in the rocket back position we have been talking about in the previous videos.
I use the same mechanist to swing and hit the tennis ball.
Let’s watch it again, it’s very simple, the rocket just drops down and then I swing forward like we have been doing in the previous steps.

Maybe 45 decrees how I sad before.
Rocket just comes down and then I swing forward
and all of those mechanist were the same.
The only thing what we are doing different is droping the rocket down.
This transition is what you need to work on.
